EJC GRADINGS

We are holding a technical grading for all Juniors from Novice to 17th Mon and for all Seniors from Novice to 2nd Kyu. The cost is £14pp. Time: 2:30pm prompt, finishing by 3:30pm.

Sunday 16th March 2014

This was a technical grading for all grades up to and including Dan grades. London Area Director of Examiners Ferdie Baronette, Senior Examiner Derek Webster and Ealing Head Coach Jo Crowley administered the grading and the 20+ participants had a positive evening. Well done to all who took part.

Sunday 7th July 2013, from 5pm

Lots of Juniors and Seniors turned out today. It was a successful grading, including several taking their Dan grade theory exams.

Sunday 24th February 2013, from 6pm

This grading is for all eligible BJA Juniors and Seniors from red belt up to brown belt and for those wishing to have Dan grade theory examinations. This is not a contest Dan grading.£12 per candidate, at any grade, payable on the day. All licences must be in date.

Sunday 4th November 2012 - Red Belts

On Sunday 4th November 2012 there will be a red belt only grading at Ealing Judo Club at 3:15pm. The cost is £12 per participant. All attendees must have a current BJA licence with them on the day. Please email or call if you have any further questions.

Thursday 14th April 2011

This is to be a Junior and Senior technical grading for those wishing to attain any grade up to 1st Kyu (or 18th Mon). We welcome anyone who has a current BJA licence to join us. The grading fee is £12. We can also examine Dan Grade theory on the day.

Monday 13th December 2010

EJC held a successful Junior and Senior technical grading on the evening of Monday 13th December 2010. We also examined Dan Grade theory.

Good Friday is Good for a Grading!

On Good Friday, 2nd April, we ran an extra 3 hour training session, including junior technical grading. It was a great success with 37 members and visitors taking part. Our next grading will be held in June of this year.

Two Day Camp & Technical Grading for Juniors

On Thursday 18th & Friday 19th February 2010 EJC hosted a 2 day training camp and grading. We had a guest coach, Lee Shinkin, a current member of the British Senior Squad. The London Area Director of Examiners was in attendance throughout the event. 41 judoka participated and I'm sure all would agree it was a great success.

Wednesday 24th June 2009 - 8:15pm

This grading was open to Seniors with Kyu grades from Novice to 2nd Kyu and to those juniors who wished to convert to a senior grade. The cost was £12 per person.

Wednesday 23rd April 2008 - Senior Men & Women's Kyu Grading

This grading was for men and women novice to 2nd Kyu and was held in the evening at Ealing Judo Club. It was excellent to grade several women up to their 1st Kyu, following some great contests.

Please note, following the introduction of the new technical grading syllabus there will be no further Junior/Senior contest gradings held at EJC. Many thanks for the support you have given to our gradings in the past.

Wednesday 19th September 2007 - Senior Men's Kyu Grading

This grading is for any man with a current senior BJA licence and a grade of Novice to 2nd Kyu. It is advisable to have theory completed before the grading but there may be time to do some on the night. Juniors wishing to convert to a senior grade must also hold a senior licence.

Fee: £15, payable on arrival

Time: Booking in from 7:30pm. Contests begin at 8:15pm

Monday 25th June 2007, 6:30pm - Junior Mon Grading for Boys and Girls

This junior grading was attended by more than 30 Mon grades. The evening ran very smoothly and we look forward to running our next grading sometime in September. Watch this space for further information.

The history of gradings at EJC

Ealing Judo Club ran its first junior grading at the beginning of August 2005. It was a very successful evening, with 25 local and not-so-local children turning out for the event.

Following August and October gradings 2006 arrived, with gradings being held in February, May & Spetember. All of these events have been well attended, successful evenings.

We have graded players from London, Northern Home Counties, Wales, the West and Yorkshire & Humberside, including Senior women. It would be great to see a regular turnout for the Senior women section as we realise it is sometimes a challenge to find others to grade with.
